Mutton fry

Ingredients:

  • Mutton – ½ kg
  • Shallots/Small onions – ¼ kg
  • Tomatoes – 1 no
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Chilli powder – 1 ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Oil
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Mustard – ¼ tsp
  • Cloves – 3 nos

Preparation :

  • Pressure cook mutton with chilli powder, cumin powder and salt.
  • Finely chop onions and tomatoes.
  • Strain mutton and keep the water aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Put mustard, cloves, ginger-garlic paste. Saute for about 5 mins till the raw smell goes.
  • Add curry leaves, onion and fry till it turns golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes and fry for 5 mins till it turns pulpy.
  • Add lil turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and stir well.
  • Put the mutton, stir well. Add required amount of strained water.
  • Wait till it boil. Then sprinkle garam masala over that. Cover and cook for about 10 mins.
  • Open the lid and wait till it the oil separates.
  • Garnish with coriander.

Serve hot with rice.
