Chocolate Banana Cake

 

Chocolate Banana cake is a delicious, quick weekend dessert. It combines the sweetness of ripe mashed bananas with cocoa powder.  I made it first time and the cake came out well.

Chocolate Banana cake

Ingredients:

  • All purpose flour/Maida – 1 ¾ cup
  • Granulated sugar – 2 cups
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder – ¾ cup
  • Baking powder – 1 ½ tsp
  • Baking powder – 1 ½ tsp
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Eggs – 2 nos
  • Ripe banana – 1 cup
  • Warm water – 1 cup
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Vegetable oil / Cooking oil – ½ cup
  • Vanilla extract – 1 ½ tsp

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  • Grease the baking tray.
  • Mash the bananas.
  • Sieve flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar together. Keep aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, mashed bananas, water, milk, oil and vanilla extract and stir well.
  • Now put the flour little by little to the wet ingredients and stir well.
  • Pour the batter to the baking tray and bake for about 10 mins in 180 degrees.
  • Bake until the toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool.
