Herby Spaghetti  with  Herby chicken

 

Whenever I feel lazy or tired, I handle spaghetti or noddles for dinner. Today wondered to have something herby, so planned to make spaghetti with herbs and saw some leftover chicken breast piece over the refrigerator, so planned to accompany this herby spaghetti with herby chicken. I used the ingredients whatever comes to my mind by that time. Finally the outcome was good, can’t wait to post. Let us move on to the recipe…

Herby spaghetti with Herby Chicken

Herby Spaghetti

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti – 150 gm
  • Mixed herbs (Oregano, Rosemary and Thyme) – 1 ½ tsp
  • Soy sauce – 3 tsp
  • Barbeque sauce – 3 tsp
  • Green chilli sauce – 1 ½ tsp
  • Onion – 1 no
  • Fennel seeds – ¼ tsp
  • Mushrooms – 100 gm
  • Pepper powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil – 3 tsp

Preparation:

  • Boil the spaghetti, drain it and wash it in the running water. Drizzle a tsp of olive oil over the spaghetti and mix with your hands gently.
  • Clean the mushrooms in water and put them in boiling water for 5 mins. Drain them and keep aside.
  • Finely chop the onions and keep it aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a kadai. Put the fennel seeds and wait till they crackle.
  • Put the mushrooms and mixed herbs with little salt.
  • Pour in all the sauces and sauté them well, till the mushrooms are done.
  • Put the spaghetti, pepper powder and salt. Saute them for few minutes till the raw smell goes off and the spaghetti turns to brown colour.

Serve hot with tomato sauce or tomato ketchup.

Herby Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast – a piece
  • Soy sauce – 2 tsp
  • Pepper powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:

  • Take the chicken breast piece and slit on them.
  • Mix soy sauce, pepper powder and salt.
  • Marinate the chicken in the mixture for about 20 mins.
  • Heat olive oil in tawa and shallow fry the chicken.

Serve hot along with the Herby Spaghetti.
