This is our 8th FBAB Meetup which was held up by last Sunday (11/10/2015), actually every time I use to post the review earlier but this time, its bit late, because of vacation (Yay! Kids at home, lots and lots of mess).
Our 8th meetup was organized in ABSOULTE BARBEQUE, they have branches but we have visited their recently opened one in BTM layout. I have heard about Absolute Barbeque through my hubby who visits Marthahalli branch with his colleagues.
Sunday evening around 7:30 p.m. we visited Absolute Barbeque, this time I was happy to see some new faces and we had a small intro. It was a pleasant experience with their wish grill menu. In short I would say, “All in one plate” – It was my very first time to see all in one plate (chicken, fish, crab, squid, shrimp, mutton, and duck) – “LUCKY ME”.
The place was too good, well suits for family get together and hangouts with friends. Also their wish grill well decorated the place, with beautiful lightings and awesome colors in the wall makes feel good. The most important thing is their valet parking, a tension free.
First of all we were served with starters based with chicken, cheese corn balls, American cheesy potatoes, prawn, potatoes, fish, squid and tandoori tangdi finally but everyone loved was caramelized barbecued pineapple which was not mentioned in the menu. Also the squid it was cooked to the right consistency and was too good. Then comes the wish grill with exotic selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian which was induced with AB’s Signature Sauces.
Coming to the main course, there was four vegetarian and non-vegetarian gravies, which was cooked up to the best taste. Non-vegetarian curries – Sri Lankan shrimp curry was too good, mutton (Shahi Gosht) was cooked to the top most level, and it was soft as would melt in the mouth of kids and Chicken Dum Briyani. Vegetarian gravies are also too good, I love one of the gravy with dal (sorry forgot the name) and steamed rice.
Last but not least, everyone’s favorite Dessert – Cheese Cake, Phirnee, Kewra with Rabdi (I was always tempted when I see this dish in the cookery shows, as it was my first time never knew the taste, but the fellow foodies tasted it told it was not the best), Gulab Jamun, Chenna payeesh was delicious, watermelon shorbhet was good.
Ice cream actually everyone would be drooling for Ice-cream’s but I never, just like that would have it. This time I tasted the Pan Ice cream, it was delicious.
I would say the Pan Ice cream and Caramalized Barbecued Pineapple are the must to try recipe in AB’s. A heart touching thing was we were surprised with a return gift – it was a “T-Shirt” in Dark green color with their Logo, and this enters to my memorable gift list. Thanks a lot to Absolute Barbeque, Affimity and FBAB for your wonderful and pleasant opportunity.
