This was our 20th FBAB meetup with MEAL DIARIES around 12:00 clock on Saturday (6th Feb). As usual we had fun, chats and got to meet two of the new foodies. I have tasted few of the lunch boxes ventured recently in Bangalore, one such venture is MEAL DIARIES.
About: Meal Diaries was started by three friends, as result of their passion towards food. Their main motive was to fulfill the craving for tasty, homely Indian food. They got set their professional kitchen in Domlur by manned professional Chefs.
Each and every item in the menu was meticulously selected after rigorous round of trials, prepared under vigilant supervision of specialists and delivered only after the personal tasting of the co-founder and chefs. They also have a weekly menu with a daily changing set of mealing options. Also they deliver the meal in right time.
They are located in Domlur and they serve only for about 7 Kms radius.
Packing: Packing was good. You can have it straight away from the box.
- Salad: I like the salads a lot, very healthy, colourful and tasty. The salads was unique with meal diaries as they were flavored with different ingredients, also the ingredients used in the salads are colourful which would make the kids to have salads. They both veg and non-veg version of salads.
- Parathas: They have wide range of parathas, like onion paratha, gobi paratha, aloo paratha and so on. It comes with gravy, pickle and a salad.
- Meal Box: They have wide variety of rice such as saffron rice, pulav, jeera rice, steamed rice and so on. This comes with a rice, 2 tawa parathas, a salad, a stir-fry, a gravy and a raita.
They also have few signature dishes like Laksa Meal – a must try, I liked it very much.
Pasta: They have pasta boxes with a creamy pasta, a portion of fries, salad and garlic bread. They both veg and non-veg boxes.
Pitta Bread: They had both veg and non veg versions of Pitta Pocket. The pittas was very soft and the salads inside the pitta was perfectly done.
Burger: Their Burgers comes with both veg and non-veg versions, along with a fries and a dip.
Price: The price of the food, was reasonable.
I would highly recommend, as all the foods are healthy. A perfect meal box, also you can pre-book your food, so no worries of ordering the food even during your hectic schedules. Also I love the concept of the meal getting changes every day, as one may not be bored to have the food. In a line I could say, one can expect the feeling of “Home cooked food or Food from the hands of a mother”.
A Must try for Bangaloreans, also I wish meal diaries to spread all over India.
