Mysore Trip – Part I

Standard

Our Mysore Trip was just a wow! When we decided to go to Mysore, actually we were in a plan to make it somewhere to a new place. But when my elder one started asking me that she wanted to visit to Mysore – as she heard about KrishnaRajaSagar Dam, Brindhavan Garden, Tippu sultan palace, Mysore Maharaja palace from her friends and my younger one who want to visit – The Zoo and now here comes me – who wants to visit Mysore for Mysore silk sarees, as I go crazy for silk sarees.

We planned to start our trip early in the morning, later started only by 6 a.m. It took almost 1 ¼ hr to reach the outskirts of Bangalore due to heavy traffic. We had our breakfast at A2B on the way and again started our journey towards Mysore and reached the hotel sometime around 11 a.m.

Once we reached the hotel, we had a cup of coffee and refreshed ourselves and then had our lunch at Blue Inn. The lunch was fabulous – we had Quail fry, Mutton Biryani, Parotta, Chicken 65, Prawn fry, Butter Chicken and Rumali Roti. Ambience of the hotel was spacious and beautifully designed with wall hangings and chandeliers, and also had ample space for car parking. Food was excellent – quail fry was crispy outside and soft inside, mutton was perfectly cooked in biryani, chicken 65 and prawn fry was too good.

After food we had little time in our hotel and then started around 4 p.m to Brindhavan Garden. Kids were very happy to see the dam and river, we took few pictures before entering the Garden. Later when we reached the garden, we were roaming all over the garden for an hour and then around 6.30 we started moving towards the amphitheater to watch the musical fountain. We clicked few pictures there and then returned to our hotel.

We had dinner at the same place – Hotel Blue Inn, where we had our lunch. For dinner we had Naan, Parotta, Prawn fry, Fish fry and then American Chopsuey, as it was mentioned that it was the special of the restaurant. American chopsuey was good, but the portion was large, as two person can have it.

The second day, our plan was to visit Zoo. We had breakfast at Kamat and moved towards zoo. We had a wonderful experience in zoo, Kids were very happy roaming here and there, as they happen to see most of the animals, they get to see in the movie and school books. My son was more excited to see Giraffe, Crocodiles, Lion, Tiger, Hippo, Cranes, Peacock, Parrots, Leopard, Zebra, Deer, and Snakes as it was his first time to see most of the animals after he could recognize them. The whole day was spent in Zoo, and returned to hotel with full of tiredness and proceeded to Junior Kuppannna for our dinner.
