Got an invite for the “Ruchi Thali Event” of Singapore Airlines, where the recipes are curated by Chef. Sanjeev Kapoor at Hotel Shangri-La, Bangalore around 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m.

I was on time for the event, and never ever thought Chef. Sanjeev Kapoor, would be there. I was stunned to see him (India’s top chef), had a small chat with him and whoever comes out without selfie today – so had a selfie and a picture with him. Food Review – Karama, Frazer Town, Bangalore

Standard

Last week got an invite to KARAMA — Arabic, Punjabi and Karachi cuisine for foodie review with my fellow foodie friends, the place was like a heaven. I love Arabian cuisine, the lamb cooked in Arabian cuisine, tastes heavenly.

Ambiance: It was very spacious and clean. A must to visit place with beautiful interiors, wall hanging, paintings which completely makes you feel that you were somewhere in Arab.

Parking: There was sufficient parking space in front of the restaurant.

Food: Coming to the food, food was very rich, delicious, and heavenly. As a food reviewer and a non-veggie, I would say that I never had the paya (lamb legs) cooked in such a way in Bangalore. Not only in non-veg, their Dahi Kebab perfectly done. My kids loved it to the core. Tawa bheja fry was excellent, the brain was cooked to perfect stage and it melts in the mouth. Ghoshth Nihari and Dabba Ghosth were must to try. Also Dal Makhani, cheese hara bara kabab was too good in vegetarian. We also had chicken gravies and prawn starters. But I would suggest that their Mutton dishes are the must to try as you get prawns and chicken to the perfection in many restaurants.

Let me share few of the food pictures, we had there…

A must to try for all the Bangaloreans.

They have a theme based brunch on all Sundays and yesterday it was Thorr mostly to impress kids.

We were introduced to chef. Sanjeev Rajan, he who took us a tour all over the brunch. We had wonderful time, as he explained us each and every concept of the food there. Also he wanted us to start the brunch from desserts, as theme was related to kids. My kids usually like to have bakes and chocolates, when they got to see the bakes and desserts spread over there, they was confused what to have. Not only kids even it was me who got confused, what to have – as there was varieties ranging from salad, Indian cuisine and Continental cuisine.

Also there was a few live counter for Tandoori, Chinese Live counter, Italian Live counter, BBQ counter, Japanese counter and for burgers with both veg and non-veg which includes poultry, meat and seafood. Last but not least a beautiful Ice cream counter with varieties of toppings.

These brunches are commonly done on all Sundays @ Marriott, Whitefield, and Bangalore. It happens from 12.00 a.m till 3.30 p.m. Also a best place for kids as they would enjoy their food as it was theme based and here they would have loads of variety, no worries for parent to feed their kids.
