Kozhukattai or Kolukattai is a popular south Indian sweet dumpling made with rice flour and stuffed with grated coconut and jaggery or boiled dals and jaggery or boiled dals, jaggery and grated coconut and it is also known as Modak in North India. Also kozhukattai’s are made not only with rice flour but also with millet and wheat flour. It is eaten as a form of breakfast or as a teas time snack. In Tamilnadu, this it traditionally prepared on vinayagar Chaturthi or Ganesha Chaturthi rand offered to Lord Vinayaga. Also these are made on Puratasi Sani and offered for Lord Vishnu.

FBAB 5th meetup – Soho St

Here comes our 5th FBAB Meetup at Soho St, Bangalore. This time I got to meet many new people and few of the well-known faces. As usual the meetup went well, but I would say I loved the meetup this time compared with others, may be the feel of the restaurant.

Soho St resembles as though we sit and dine at London. As I have been in U.K and visited London, as they declare I could feel the energy of Trafalgar square, big ben, London Eye through their wonderful interiors (wood work) on the wall. 

Ambience: The restaurant was classy with rich woodwork, amazing interiors, open kitchen, live counter which takes you to London.

Location: It was located at the Ground Floor, Sona Tower, Hosur Main Road, Koramangala, Bengaluru.

Food: There was 7 Cuisines Indian, Chinese, Italian, Thai, Japanese, Mediterranean and Continental. We were there on Sunday and there was a huge spread on Buffet, one such wow moment not only for a foodie but for everyone.

First of all we were served with cocktails and mocktails, as a non-alcoholic, I went for Lychee mocktail. Also they served few mocktails – cranberry, orange, mint punch, strawberry punch and cocktails – Bourbon grape, Tequila Sunrise, Appletini and Soho special.

Next comes the platter, one by one about 5 to 6 varieties. I taste delicious, even now when start blogging about Soho St, I start drooling for their food.

Then moved on to the buffet, it was endless buffet which was spread from one corner to the other. Everything was good and delicious.

Dessert: There was also varieties of desserts like Moongdal halwa, Gulab jamun, Fruit truffle, Chocolate Mousse, Icecreams, Cotton candy, Phirni and few more in the list.

On the whole I would say it was Yummilicious.

Serving: Serving was too good.

As I was with FBAB, I miss my family but soon will be back to Soho St with my family as possible and as many times as possible. A heartful of thanks to FBAB for arranging such a wonderful event in a awesome restaurant.
