No Bake, 2 Ingredient Molten Choco Lava Cake

Standard

Being a big fan of Dominos Molten choco lava cake, whenever we go for Domino’s Pizza – choco lava cake is a must in the list. I resemble being a kid, when I get Choco Lava Cake. I never ever share my lava cake even with my kids, even if I am not able to eat that moment, will have it later, but never share with anyone – that selfish moment.

Recently I got to try this Choco Lava Cake but in a unique manner – no bake with just 2 ingredients and just 5 mins. It was yummy, I have used Marie Biscuits, but you can also use any brand choco chips biscuit for perfect texture. Let me share the recipe…

Taking it to Fiesta Friday #134 hosted by Angie@thenovicegarderner.

  • Hershey’s chocolate syrup or any chocolate syrup – 2 cups

  • Make a well in the center of the dough, pour the hershey’s syrup and again top it with the rolled biscuit dough.

Holi is a spring festival in Nepal and India, also known as the festival of colors or the festival of sharing love. It falls somewhere between end of February and Mid of March in the Gregorian Calendar. Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with a Holika bonfire where people gather sing, dance and party. The next morning is celebrated as Rangwali Holi – a free for all carnival of colors, where participants play, chase and color each other with dry powder and colored water, with some carrying water guns and coloured water-filled ballons for their water fight.

The evening after sobering up, people dress up and visit friends and family by sharing Holi delicacies, food and drinks.

Above details collected from Wikipedia.

As holi is nearing I could everywhere people blogging about Holi, also I could see the waterguns and color powder along the roads, also my kids started their purchase for the waterguns and were getting ready for Holi.

I was discussing with my daughter, “we need to make a sweet which is colorful for Holi and let you give me some suggestion”, there comes my son (Doughnut maniac) – he asks me, “Mom why don’t you make Doughnuts. I told him we need to try some authentic sweets, he asks me, “Whatever you prepare it doesn’t matter, only we are going to eat, so why don’t you prepare doughnuts, do colorful coating on doughnuts – A colorful sweet is ready for holi”. Here comes my idea to prepare doughnuts for Holi.

I was little doubtful while preparing doughnuts, about it results, but it came out good. It was too delicious, but I and my hubby got to have two pieces, rest all was over with my kids. Happy me. So give a try to this recipe, as vacation is about to start and enjoy with your world (kids). Let us move on to the recipe…

Doughnuts

Doughnuts

Ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour – 2 ½ cups
  • Dry yeast – 1 ½ tsp
  • Butter – 3 tbsp
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp
  • Egg – 1 no (large)
  • Salt a pinch
  • Sugar syrup – 2 cup

Preparation:

  • Take ¼ cup of milk, add in the yeast, wait for 5 mins, the milk would turn pale white in color with good frothing. (Sorry I missed to click the picture of frothing, soon will update it).
  • Melt the butter and keep it aside/
  • Take flour, salt, butter, sugar, yeast mix and break in the egg, mix well with your fingers, as it should remain to the crumble consistency.
  • Add in the milk little by little at regular intervals, start mixing gently with fingers, and roll it to a ball.
  • Now start kneading the dough for almost 10 to 20 mins.
  • Now flatten the dough with rolling pin in your work area, and cut them into round shape and make a small round cut in the center of that disk.
  • Grease a tray with oil or butter, gently drop the disk with sufficient space in between them and cover it with cling film.
  • Let it rest for an hour, in between don’t relocate or shake or disturb the tray. After an hour, you see the dough getting double the size.
  • Heat oil in pan (oil should not be too hot, as it will get burned in minutes), take the tray, remove the cling film, and gently drop the doughnuts one by one and start frying.
  • Swap the sides and deep fry them until they turn golden brown).
  • Dip it in the sugar syrup and top with the flavor or ingredients you desire or dip them in the melted chocolate.

Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Food Review – Whooppeezz Pizza, Bangalore with FBAB

Standard

Our 16th FBAB meet with Whooppeezz Pizza, the most lovely, wonderful and yummiest event for me. The event started around 1: 00, I would say due to heavy traffic I was little late. When I stepped in to the restaurant the event was started, and joined our foodie people. #WhooppeezzPizza

Location: It was in the main location in 80ft road, Koramangala, opposite to Raheja Arcade. Only thing there was no proper place for car parking.

Ambiance: Ambiance was very cool with beautiful interiors fitted with wonderful words and pictures of pizza.

Food:

  • Pasta: I had Arrabbiata pasta, it was good. I would pastas are good.
  • Sides: We had Garlic Bread with Cheese & Mushroom and Garlic Bread with Cheese and Grilled Shredded Chicken, both were too good. Nachos with Cheese Sauce and Salsa, BBQ Chicken Wings – My kids loved it to the core, the chicken was soft, tender with juicy. A must try one.
  • Pizza: There was many varieties of pizza and each of them looked and tasted unique for me. I have tasted most of the varieties of Pizza – Original Chicken Tikka, Eggizza – A must try for egg lovers – definitely unique, even now it makes me drooling, Double Decker Pizza – There were two layers of Pizza base with cheese, imagine how soft the pizza base would be – Unique and Yummiest Pizza with bursting cheese, Paneer Fanatico (Veg) and few more pizza. As the pizza base was very soft, one would never feel heavy after having these pizza. Highlight of these pizza are the soft base and the unique toppings.

Desserts: Wow! What would I say about the desserts, I can’t even use the word heavenly, but something more than the word “Heavenly”.

  • Tre Leche – The cake was spongy, soft, and moist also it melts in the mouth.
  • Chocolate Pizza with Gems – Not only kids, but anyone of anyone would love to have this Pizza. Pizza topped with chocolate sauce and few gems.
  • Chocolate Pizza with Almond Flakes – The pizza was topped with Chocolate sauce and Almond Flakes.

My first and foremost Chocolate Pizza, a SHOULD try desserts.

Price: Price was reasonable.

Suggestions: I would say, there should be more and more branches, especially in Indira Nagar. So that I could reach out WHOOPPEEZZ whenever my kids crave for Pizza particularly the Chocolate Pizza. A MUST PLACE IN BANGALORE.

I was with FBAB and my kids was accompanied by my hubby, they wanted to convey that the pizza and desserts was too good. They use to have pizza once in a week, but they were use to leave the corners of the pizza. But it was the first time I have seen the having even the corners of the pizza due to its softness. Also they packed a chocolate pizza and shared with their friends.

Had a lovely time with our Foodies. Thanks  a lot for FBAB to invite me for the event.
