Food Review – Hungry Hippee, Koramangala, Bangalore

Standard

Recently got an invite to Hungry Hippee, Koramangala (near Empire), and Bangalore with few of my foodie friends.

Hand made Hookah

Food Review- Hungry Hippee

Ambiance: The restaurant was at roof top, the place was brightly lit with lamps, and the furniture were classy – they were old fashioned chairs and couches, which were repainted to today’s trend. Also their wall painting was one of the most important work in the place. As it was roof top, there was plenty of natural air with mild music.

Serving: The serving was great. I would say that their platting was excellent.

Food: They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve pancakes, French toast, waffles, pizza, pasta, burgers and so on. Let me share, about the food we had –

  • ·         French Toast – French toast was excellent, that one could not get the smell of eggs, but it was so soft and spongy.
  • ·         Chili Chicken – I liked the chilli chicken, they were soft and juicy and perfectly cooked with the flavors.
  • ·         Thai Mac & Cheese Ball – Mac & Cheese Ball with an twist in thai style was good.
  • ·         Pita bread with Hummus was perfectly done.
  • ·         Trippy Triangles – Samosaa served with a creamy sacue.
  • ·         Cilantro Chicken – Chicken was cooked well and the flavor of cilantro was indused well in the chicken.
  • ·         Veg Hippie Pizza – was good.
  • ·         Thai Red Curry with Rice – looks good and taste heavenly.
  • ·         Blueberry Pannacotta – was the one next to French toast which stole my heart, with lovely texture and wonderful taste.
  • ·         Hippie Canopy – was unique with the flavor of shahi tukda but a Moong Dal Halwa.

Food Review – Karama, Frazer Town, Bangalore

Standard

Last week got an invite to KARAMA — Arabic, Punjabi and Karachi cuisine for foodie review with my fellow foodie friends, the place was like a heaven. I love Arabian cuisine, the lamb cooked in Arabian cuisine, tastes heavenly.

Ambiance: It was very spacious and clean. A must to visit place with beautiful interiors, wall hanging, paintings which completely makes you feel that you were somewhere in Arab.

Parking: There was sufficient parking space in front of the restaurant.

Food: Coming to the food, food was very rich, delicious, and heavenly. As a food reviewer and a non-veggie, I would say that I never had the paya (lamb legs) cooked in such a way in Bangalore. Not only in non-veg, their Dahi Kebab perfectly done. My kids loved it to the core. Tawa bheja fry was excellent, the brain was cooked to perfect stage and it melts in the mouth. Ghoshth Nihari and Dabba Ghosth were must to try. Also Dal Makhani, cheese hara bara kabab was too good in vegetarian. We also had chicken gravies and prawn starters. But I would suggest that their Mutton dishes are the must to try as you get prawns and chicken to the perfection in many restaurants.

Let me share few of the food pictures, we had there…

A must to try for all the Bangaloreans.

Eatfresh.com in an online food delivery platform, where the menus are curated by chefs. There are few chefs who get collaborated with eatfresh and prepare dishes based on the order. The dishes vary from area to area with wide variety of starter to dessert. Also they keep on changing the menu everyday as per the availability of their chef and area.

  • Delivery: They delivered the food right before the time, it is to be delivered.

Thai yellow curry chicken with basil steamed rice, which comes out with a chicken curry, basil steamed rice, bun and a dip. Raspberry cheese cake – it was excellent, I liked it to the core, Dutch Truffle – perfect texture and yummilicious.
