Ragi Pidi Kozhukattai

Standard

An authentic, healthy and easy breakfast, among most of the south Indian families. Sweet pidi kozhukattai is usually done with rice flour, but rarely in ragi/finger millet flour. I thought of trying it in ragi flour, because when compared to all the millets, this ragi/finger millet has some wonderful taste which my family loves a lot. Also it is loaded with nutrients like calcium, proteins, iron and minerals. It is rich in fiber and contains less unsaturated fat.

Health Benefits of Ragi: It helps in reducing weight and also helps in the treatment of osteoporosis, controls diabetics, increases bone strength, reduces bad cholesterol, aids relaxation, treats anemia, helps in lactation, reverts skin aging and so on.
